Created by the Spanish government in 1991, the Cervantes Institute is Spain’s official language and culture organisation.
The Instituto Cervantes offers comprehensive Spanish language courses aimed at developing students’ ability to understand, speak, read and write in Spanish. Likewise, it organises cultural activities, including conferences, movie screenings, book launches, theater and exhibitions.
The library has a collection of approximately 4500 books as well as serials, videos, DVD's and CD's. The library offers free access to its facilities. The library’s services will be available to any user throughout Australia.
