  • Residing in Spain
    Foreigners wishing to reside in Spain must have prior authorization to do so. Once said authorization has been obtained, it shall be necessary to obtain the corresponding visa allowing entry into Spain.
  • Airport Transit Visa
    These visas entitle their holders to pass through the international transit zone in a Spanish airport.
     
    The procedures and conditions for issuing these visas are included in Regulation (EC) No. 810/2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas (Visa Code)
  • Uniform Schengen Visa

    This visa allows stays in the Schengen Area of up to 90 days (within any period of 180 days) for the purpose of tourism, business, family visits, medical treatment, studies, placements in companies or volunteer activities with a duration of less than 3 months, or for other unremunerated activities. It also allows transit across the territory and within an airport.

    The procedures and conditions for issuing these visas are included in Regulation (EC) No. 810/2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas (Visa Code)

  • Long-Term Visas
    These visas entitle their holders to reside, work, study or research in Spain.
  • Foreigners' Identity Number (N.I.E.)
    Foreigners having an economic, professional or social connection with Spain may apply personally for an N.I.E.
  • Nationality
    In this section you will find the different methods for acquiring Spanish nationality along with the important information on the loss and preservation of same.
  • Legalisations
    Legalisation is an administrative act whereby a foreign public document is validated, by verifying the authenticity of the signature on the document, and the capacity in which the signatory of the document has acted.
