- Applicants must have permanent residency status or working permit, study permit, etc. (permit de visiteur/visitor permit not valid)
- The request for a visa must be made at the Spain's Consulate where the applicant resides. Jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Spain in Montreal: Quebec (except Gatineau), New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
