Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

5/6/2013

A SCHENGEN VISA is required to visit one or more of these Member States. This visa is valid in all Schengen states for a stay of up to 90 days within a six-month period for a visit, tourism or business, but not for employment or family reunification purposes.

   1) Filipino nationals who are ordinary passport holders are required to apply for a visa to enter the Schengen area.

   2) Filipino official or diplomatic passport holders need a visa to travel to only certain Schengen countries. Kindly check it out with the corresponding Embassy/Consulate in the Philippines if a separate visa from them is needed.

Where to apply for a Schengen Visa
       - For a visit to one Schengen state, visa applications must be lodged at the Embassy/Consulate of that particular Member State.

      - If the visit includes more than one destination, visa applications must be lodged at the Embassy/Consulate of the Member State whose territory constitutes the MAIN destination of the visit(s) in terms of purpose or the length of stay.

How much is the Visa fee

Please consult the CONSULAR FEES found at the right-hand side column.

Types of Schengen Visa

Once a visa application is approved, the following may be issued:

      1) Uniform Visa

It is a valid visa for the entire territory of the Schengen states, with the purpose of transit or intended stay. A uniform visa may be issued for one, two or multiple entries.
Multiple-entry visas may be issued with a period of validity between six months and five years, where the following conditions are met:
          a) The applicant proves the need or justifies the intention to travel frequently and/or regularly, in particular due to his occupational or family status, such as business persons, civil servants engaged in regular official contacts with Member States, and EU institutions, representatives of civil society organisations travelling for the purpose of educational training, seminars and conferences, family members of citizens of the Union, family members of third-country nationals legally residing in Member States and seafarers; and
         b) The applicant proves his integrity and reliability, in particular the lawful use of previous uniform visas or visas with limited territorial validity, his economic situation in the country of origin and his genuine intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa applied for.

      2) Airport Transit Visa

An airport transit visa shall be valid for transiting through the international transit areas of the airports situated on the territory of Member States. Filipino travellers transiting through MS airports are exempted from this requirement.

      3) Limited territorial validity

Please refer to the national directives of the competent Embassy.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
 - Applications can be lodged earliest three (3) months before the planned trip.
 - Visas are not issued on the day of the application and may take up to 4 weeks, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member State are consulted. Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period for the decision may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days.

 - Holders of Schengen visas are still subject to immigration control at the point of entry and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen countries.
