As with other Spanish consular offices, this consulate protects the interests of Spain and assists and protects Spanish natural and legal persons. This consular demarcation includes: Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, as well as Comoros, Madagascar and Mauritius.
Temporary or permanent residents in the other provinces of South Africa (Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Free State) or in the Kingdom of Lesotho, should address themselves to the consular section of the Spanish Embassy in Pretoria.
This consulate´s functions include cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in South Africa in economic, commercial, cultural and other matters.
