This section includes the services that may be useful for Spanish citizens currently residing and those planning to reside abroad.
In all Embassies and Consulates of Spain abroad Spanish and foreign citizens can provide notarized documents (deeds and minutes) in front of a diplomatic official in notarial functions, which will take effect before any authority in Spain without further legalization or authorization, neither by the Consulate that authorized the document nor by the Legalization Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. It is also possible to provide notarized documents in front of a local notary of the country where the Spanish citizen is residing, and then proceed to legalize it (see "Legalisations").
